Gregor Luštek (1973) is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and assistant director, occasionally also an actor. He did not complete his studies at the Faculty of Sport. He worked with many creators of contemporary dance art home and abroad and with many theatre directors. He received most important national rewards, including the highest recognition of the Republic of Slovenia for achievements in art, the Prešeren Fund Award. He is also the winner of several prestigious choreographic awards abroad, for a set of duets created with a dancer and choreographer Rosana Hribar. He was a guest teacher at several dance institutions in Salzburg, Marseille, Nimes, Essen, Dusseldorf, Zagreb, Graz, Budapest, Moldavia, India and China.
The basic motto of the workshop is: The body speaks, it needs to be listened. He comes from three basic body characters: observer, follower and leader. The next level is ‘gibberish’, a made-up language, used as acting technique or a tool for monitoring one’s own body in different emotional situations and conditions that enable us to hear movement, experience the body, see the moment. Once the choreography begins to sound, the spectator is no longer looking at it, but starts seeing it.
